Summer Journey to China

This summer, Sifu Wu embarked on an unforgettable journey across China, exploring sites rich in martial arts heritage and cultural significance.

Visit to Beijing Sports University

Our first stop was Beijing Sports University, where Sifu Wu studied martial arts. We had the honor of meeting some of her former instructors and visiting the very halls where she trained in Tai Chi. It was a powerful homecoming filled with memories and inspiration.

Pilgrimage to Wudang Mountain

Next, we traveled to the sacred Wudang Mountain — a renowned center for Taoist practice and the legendary birthplace of Tai Chi. During our visit, we connected with several esteemters and toured iconic landmarks, including Nanyan Palace and the Purple Cloud Temple. The experience was deeply moving and spiritually enriching

Ask Sifu

This Month's Focus: Fall Schedule!

Q: Please tell us about the Fall class schedule. What are some of the highlights and what are you most interested in teaching?

A: This is the first time our school is offering classes in all five major Tai Chi styles: Chen, Yang, Sun, Wu, and Hao. We’re also excited to launch a brand new Kung Fu / Tai Chi program for Teens and Young Adults, held Sundays from 3:30–5:00 PM. This Fall semester welcomes several new instructors to our teaching team, and I’m truly looking forward to the energy they’ll bring to our community.

Book of the Month

"Embrace Tiger, Return to Mountain by Chungliang Al Huang"
First published in 1973, this all time classic of Tai Chi literature remains as fresh and illuminating today as when it was first published. Written with true passion and eloquence, the book richly conveys the subtle yet profound principles underlying Tai Chi. Movement, stillness, joyfulness, and the ability to live in the moment are the threads running through the text, as well as the humor and compassion to acknowledge the impossibility of human perfection. Containing the original foreword by Alan Watts, the book is illustrated with beautiful calligraphy by the author, and photographs by Si Chi Ko, one of China's "National Treasures".

Tai Chi Inspiration

“Full and empty
should be clearly differentiated.
At any place where there is emptiness,
there must be fullness;
Every place has both emptiness and fullness."

- from the Evergreen classic
